Flash 8 2D Animation - Use of animatics in a TV show

This video for professional Flash 8 animation in TV deals with the use of animatics. In the last Flash 8 video tutorial, we saw the rehearsal process for the voice actors. This animatics process seems to be a type of storyboarding with the audio track added underneath it. Character positions are storyboarded in the traditional way. I suppose that the purpose is to give the idea of what the show will look like in a roughed out form. Each shot is given a drawing and each major change of action or movement is drawn out. Notice that the safe working screen area is added to the screen(the green rectangles).

Notice the arrows to show movement, particularly the head movement. Story boards are to help the visualization of the general action and layout within the frame.
